Google Pixel is the company’s ‘first’ attempt at a smartphone. Unlike the Nexus, there’s no co-branding with LG or Huawei. Sure the phone’s box says manufactured by HTC, but it’s like how iPhones are made by Foxconn in China. Pixel and Pixel XL are a Google-only effort from top-to-bottom. The company is tying up with distributors in India to get this phone into offline retail stores as well.

Perfect phone. Performance is excellent: everything is super quick, including the fingerprint scanner.

The camera is outstanding. I've compared it to the one in Lumia 1020 (large sensor with 41 megapixel resolution), and even in low light conditions Pixel seems to offer the same or even higher level of detail. Essentially everything else in Pixel's camera is better: it is much quicker, HDR is great, depth of field is better, colours in low light conditions are better, macro is better. Lumia has better flash and better zoom though.

Video recording on Pixel is also fantastic google pixel xl phone review : judging by the reviews, no other smartphone has this good stabilisation. In addition, there's a 240fps slow-motion option. Thus, it seems that overall Pixel's camera is the best smartphone camera ever.
